Hour — Privacy Policy
Hour does not have accounts, does not track you, and stores nothing about you on any server we control. Everything the app remembers stays on your device.
What Hour stores, and where
Hour keeps a small amount of state in your device's local storage so the app works across restarts: the task you currently have, when that hour ends, the handful of task identifiers you saw most recently (so it can avoid repeating them), and your last known location. None of this is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Location
Hour asks for your location for one purpose: to look up the current weather where you are, so the task it offers fits the day. Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo, a weather service, and used only to get a forecast back. We do not store them, log them, or share them with anyone.
Declining is fully supported. If you refuse location access, Hour uses Tartu, Estonia as a default and behaves identically in every other respect.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Hour schedules them locally on your device to tell you when a new task is ready. There is no push server, no device token, and no notification ever originates from us or from anyone else.
What Hour does not do
- No accounts, sign-in, or user profiles.
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party trackers or data-collection SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of personal data, because none is collected.
The one third party
Hour makes network requests to exactly one service: Open-Meteo, for weather. The request carries a latitude and longitude and nothing else — no identifier, no account, no device information. Open-Meteo's own privacy terms are at open-meteo.com/en/terms.

Children
Hour is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because Hour holds no personal data outside your own device, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, removes everything it has kept.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated date above. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
